Common Name Schiller's Coelogyne [German Orchid Enthusiast 1800's]

Found in Thailand and Myanamar in valleys and on ridges at elevations around 200 to 1200 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with close set, globose-ovoid pseudobulbs enveloped basally by sheaths and carrying 2, elliptic-lanceolate, acute-acuminate, single nerved, plicate, coriaceous leaves with no defined petiole that blooms in the spring on a synanthous, slender, [4.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence sheathed with new leaves and imbricating basal bracts, has persistent floral bracts.
