Found in the Philippines on trees in lower montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1100 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyyte with obovoid to narrowly obovoid, often curved, grooved with age pseudobulbs carrying 2, oblong-lanceolate, acute, gradually narrwowing below into the short petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and summer on a heteranthous, arching, not zig-zagged, 2 to 3" [5 to 7.5 cm] long, loosely 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence enveloped from the base to the rachis by bracts and carrying simultaneously opening, fragrant flowers
