Common Name The White Rose Coryanthes
Flower Size 1 1/2" [6 cm]
Found in Peru at elevations around 100 meters as a small sized, caespitose epiphyte in hot tropical forest, often in ant's nests at lower elevations with ovoid-pyriform, sulcate, bifoliate psedobulbs and plicate, narrowly lanceolate leaves with a short sulcate petiole which blooms on a lateral, pendant, basal, 6 1/4" [17 cm] long, 1 or 2 flowered inflorescence arising on mature pseudobulbs with 2 inflated, tubular-infundibuliform floral bracts occuring in the fall.
