Flower Size 4 1/2" [11.25 cm]

A medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphytic species from Colombia, southeastern Ecuador and northeastern Peru in lower montane forests at elevations around sealevel to 1600 meters with conical to oblong-ovoid, ribbed pseudobulbs carrying 2 apical, plicate, narrowly elliptical leaves with a distinct channeled petiole that blooms in the late summer on a basal, pendant, 1 to 2 flowered, to 12" [30 cm] long, racemose inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb with several short, tubular sheathsthat carries a large, waxy, short lived, fragrant flower, smelling strongly of mint and is found at elevations of sealevel to 1000 meters.
