Common Name The Three-Leafed Coryanthes

Found in northern Peru around 100 to 1000 meters in elevation as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with narrowly pyriform-cylindric, ribbed, pseudobulbs carrying 3, apical, plicate, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate leaf that gradually narrows below into the long slender, channeled petiole that blooms on a lightly arcuate then pendant, to 13" [33 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying 6 small, tubelar, mastly remote sheaths and heavily scented flowers.
