Found in Peru in lowland tropical rainforests at lower elevations as a large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with ovate, sulcate pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 3, plicate, narrow, strongly nerved below leaves that blooms in the summer till early fall on a pendant, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence with fragrant flowers
