Found in India and Sri Lanka as a large to giant sized, hot growing epiphyte with elongate stems carrying many, rather leathery, linear, obtuse, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the fall on an erect, to 5' [to 150 cm] long, usually sparsely branched, densely racemose towards the apex inflorescxence with successive, foul smelling, long-lived flowers
