Common Name or Meaning The Short Beaked Cranichis

Found in Colombia and Venezuela at elevations around 2700 to 3500 meters as a medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with 1 to 2, in a basal rosette, ellitpic to ovate, acute to shortly acuminate, crenate margins, cuneate belo intothe petioalte base leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on an erect, to 11.2" [28 cm] long overall, rachis 1 to 2.28" [2.5 to 5.75 cm] long, subdensly many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, almost glabrous floral bracts.
