Found in Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay as a small sized, terrestrial orchid with several, erect, elliptic, obtuse to acute gradually anrrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 12" [30 cm] long, several to many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acute, spaced bracts and longer than the ovary floral bracts
