Found in Shanxi, Sichuan and Yunnan province China in rocky, moist locales in forests and thickets at elevations of 2600 to 3900 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect, usually pubescent stem carrying3 to 4, elliptic, almost glabrous leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, terminal, single flowered inflorescencewith a leaf-like, ovate-lanceolate bract.
