Common Name Fowlie's Cyrtopodium [American Orchid Enthusiast In Brazil 1900's]

Flower Size 1.5" [3.75 cm]

Found in Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Brazil and Bolivia in sandy savannahs with stagnat standing water at elevations of 800 to 900 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with ovoid, elongate pseudobulbs carrying coriaceous, plicate, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a racemose, erect, 18 to 24" [45 to 60 cm] long, basal inflorescence.
