Common Name The Ixia-Like Cyrtochilum

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Cundinamarca Colombia in scrub and grass in paramo at elevations of 3000 to 3300 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with small pear-shaped, sulcate with age pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 3 to 5, leathery, leaf-like, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate sheaths and carrying 2, apical, narrowly lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the spring on a 12" [30 cm] long, erect to arching, loosely, 7 flowered racemose on one side of the inflorescence arising through a leaf sheath.
