Found in Pohnpei of the Caroline Islands on mossy tree trunks in montane forests at elevations around 640 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with yellowish, cured, slightly zigzag stems enveloped by sheaths and carrying many, slender, leathery, oblong-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the later summer on a short, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence carrying very fragrant flowers.
