Common Name The Winged-Stem Dendrobium

Flower Size .2" [.4 to .5 cm]

Found in Papua and New Guinea at elevations of 2750 to 3200 meters as a small, cold growing epiphyte with slender, pendant, often fractiflex, and branched stems carrying small, deciduous, ovate-lanceolate, dull dark-green, thin, spreading leaves that are spread along the length of the stem, blooming in the spring on a tassel-like, .6" [1.5 cm] long, few to several [3 to 8] flowered inflorescence arising from the nodes on leafless stems.
