Found in the Solomon Islands, New Caledonia and Vanuatu in lowland and montane rainforests at elevations of 10 to 900 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, ribbed, slightly basally swollen stems carrying distichous, oblong, articulated to the leaf sheaths below, unequally bilobed apically, light yellow green leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a lateral, solitary flowered, short inflorescence.
