Found in Solomon Islands? and Queensland Australia in lowland rain forests, coastal swamps and near streams in shaded, humid locations at elevations of sea level to 350 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte or lithophyte with numerous, stem-like, long, wiry, mostly leafy pseudobulbs carrying many, grass-like, dark green, sickle-shaped leaves that blooms in the summer on a very short, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
