Common Name Blume's Dendrobium [German-Dutch Botanist in Indonesia 1800's]
Flower Size .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm]
Found in Thailand, Borneo, Malaysia and Java in shady locales at elevations around 500 to 600 meters as a miniature to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with yellowish, slender at the base, several thickened angular nodes and spindle shaped, slightly compressed upper noded stem carrying 5 to 9, thick, lanceolate, alternate along the stem leaves that blooms late winter and early spring on short inflorescence that carry a single short lived, lemon scented flower.
