Common Name The Calyx-Like Mentum Dendrobium

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in New Guinea, Sulawesi and the Solomon Islands at elevations of 800 to 1900 meters in mossy cloudforests as a large sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with pendulous, thin, rope-like canes are enveloped basally by leaf sheaths and are swollen basally, carrying many, lanceolate, rigid leaves that are apically pointed that blooms on a very short, axillary inflorescence that arises from the nodes near the apex of the canes with 4 to 6 flowers in a cone shaped cluster occuring in the winter.
