Found in Haina China in open montane forests on tree trunks or on rocks in mountain valleys at elevations around 1000 meters as a minaiture sized, warm growing epiphyte with an erect to decumbent, branched or not stem enveloped completely by imbricate leaf sheaths and carrying distichous, ascending, densely telescopic, laterally compressed, shortly sword-shaped, thickly fleshy leaves that blooms on often subterminal, about .4" [1 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence with broadly ovate, membraneous, acute floral bracts and carrying, spreading, thickly fleshy flowers.
