Dendrobium diaphanum Schltr. 1910 SECTION Aporum Photo by © Art Vogel
LATE
Common Name The Translucent Dendrobium
Flower Size .6" [1.6 cm]
Found in Sulawesi on forest trees at elevations of 500 to 600 meters as a medium szied, hot growing epiphyte with flattened, pendulous stem with leaves at the tip of each growth each being linear, acute, smooth leathery leaves that blooms in the late spring on a short, opposite the leaves, inflorescence with clusters of flower near the apex of the stem
I am very unsure of this determination as it dose not appear to be a Section Aporum species nor has a very short inflorescence with a cluster of flowers held against the stems apex
Synonyms Aporum diaphanum (Schltr.) Rauschert 1983
