This medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphytic species is found in Burma, Thailand and Laos in the tops of tall trees in deciduous forests near an altitude of 760 meters with erect to pendant, terete stems carrying 4 ligulate to lanceolate, suberect, acute or acuminate leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on pendant racemes emerging from the nodes at and near the apex of mature psudobulbs with thin textured flowers. In winter water and fertilizer should be lessened and then in the early spring should be curtailed altogether with only morning mistings until new growth is initiated.
