Found in New Guinea on trees in lowland forests at elevations around 350 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to a terete, erect, flexuous stem carrying many erect-patent, elliptic, subacute, glabrous leaves that blooms in the spring on a lateral, short, obtuse, compressed, racemose, subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence carrying short lived flowers
