Common Name Dolois Sumbin's Dendrobium [Indonesian Orchid Enthusiast and Curator Sabah Parks Herbarium current]

Found in Kalimantan and Sabah Borneo in hill forests at elevations of 600 to 700 meters as a small to medium sized, warm growing epiphyte with up to 20, becoming pendent with age, sulcate, internoded stems carrying several towards the apex of mature stems, narrowly elliptic, oblique, subacute to acute apically leaves that blooms in the spring with a short to .4" [1 cm] long, 1 to rarely 2 flowered inflorescence.

Similar to D yongii but D doloissumbinii has a longer mentum, larger elliptic, subacute petals, a larger lip blade with a shortly narrowed,, obtuse apex , a longer column with shallowly bilobulate stelida and a larger anther cap.
