Found in Borneo near Mt Kinabalu in upper montane forests at elevations above 900 to 3800 meters as a small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with small ovoid, minutely wrinkled, orange red pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, erect, 4" [10 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
