Found in Sumatra and Borneo in mossy forests on sandstone at elevations of 1800 to 2250 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to clustered, ovoid to ovate-oblong, greenish yellow pseduobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, sulcate, linear-ligulate, obtuse, obtuse and minutely mucronate, 5 nerved leaf that blooms in the early spring on an erect, wirey, quadrangular, orange colored, laxly 12 to 20 flowered inflorescence with ovate-elliptic acute to acuminate floral bracts
