Found on Mindanao within the Philippines on mossy trees at elevations around 1800 to 2000 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with spindle-shaped pseudobulbs enveloped by, closely appressed, black dotted sheaths and carrying a single, apical, linear, narrow, tapering at both ends, obtuse, petiolate base leaf , that blooms in the late winter, spring and summer on threadlike, rachis to 1.8" [4.5 cm] long, 6" [15 cm] long overall, densely many flowered inflorescence.
