Found in the Bismark Archipelago on trees at elevations around 600 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to a many angled pseudobulb carrying many, oval, leathery, sometimes bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the winter on a short, 2 flowered inflorescence and carrying short lived flowers
