Common Name The End Of The World Dendrobium [Finisterre Mountains of New Guinea]
Flower Size to 2 1/2"
Found in Papua and New Guinea as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte found on moss covered trees in mistforest at elevations of 1300 to 2100 meters with clustered, somewhat flattened, orange yellow stems carrying 2 to 3 oblong-elliptic, suberect leaves that blooms in the winter spring and summer on an erect, to 10" [25 cm] long, laxly several [8 to 10] flowered inflorescence with faintly fragrant flowers that do not open well arising from near the apex of the canes.
