Common Name The Half-Black Lip Dendrobium

Flower Size .4" [1 cm]

Found in Vietnam at elevations of 1400 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to hot growing epiphyte or terrestrial with cylyndrical, angled at each node stems carrying many, deciduous, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, very thin, membraneous leaves that are slightly distichous that blooms on a pendant, very slender, 8" [20 cm] long, few [1 to 3] flowered inflorescence arising from the nodes along the stem with fragrant flowers occuring in the fall and winter. Water and fertilizer should be lessened for 2 to 3 months through the winter and only resumed with new growth in the spring.
