Found in Myanmar at elevations around 1500 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect, compressed, 2 node, ovoid stems carrying about 4, crowded subterminally leaves that blooms in the spring on a pseudoterminal, to 2 flowered inflorescence often carrying cleistogamous flowers that last one day,

Similar to D brymerianum but differs in the longer, narrower and smaller aspect of the flower and less fimbriate to entire margins to the lip as well as the spindle shaped pseudobulbs
