Common Name Hose's Dendrobium [English Bishop in Singapore around 1900]

Found in Malaysia, Borneo and New Guinea in hill forests, mossy ridge forests and in mist forests on mossy tree trunks in partial shade at elevations of 400 to 1000 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with elongated, many noded, quadrangular, dirty yellow, longitudinally grooved stems carrying many, distichous, linear-lanceolate, dark green, very unequally bilobed leaves that blooms in the spring on a .8" [2 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered, racemose inflorescence arising laterally from the base of the internodes
