Found in New Guinea at elevations around 1250 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to rigid, erect, many branched, leafy stems carrying many erect-patent to subpatent, glabrous, linear, acute rigid leaves that blooms in the early summer on an axillary, short, compressed, subsessile 2 flowered inflorescence.

Schlechter states that the flowers are pale pink and the lip is yellow white.
