Found in Bougainville New Guinea, the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu in coastal rainforests at elevations of sea level to 500 meters as a medium szied, hot growing epiphyte with slender, pendant stems carrying many, light green, distichous, lanceolate, rough, wrinkled, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a short, 2 flowered inflorescence and carrying short lived, fleshy, not opening well flowers
