Common Name The Lion-Like Dendrobium

Flower Size .6 to .8" [1.3 to 2 cm]

Found in Thailand, penninsular Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sumatra and Borneo in lowland forests at elevations of sea-level to 500 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot growing epiphyte with clustered, leafy, flattened stems are completely enveloped by the many, distichous, succulent, alternating, triangular, overlapping, dark, imbricating, dull green leaves that blooms in the spring, summer and fall on an axillary, short, single flowered inflorescence arising at the apex of the imbricating canes with 1 to 2 fleshy, fragrant [vanilla] flowers.
