Found in Borneo, Java, Malaysia and Sumatra large trees next to rivers and in freshwater swamps at elevations of sealevel to 750 meters as a medium sized, hot and pendant growing epiphyte with a clumping, flaccid, leafy throughout, often branching, pendulous stem with small, acute, imbricate, conduplicate leaves and blooms in the winter and summer on a very short, axillary, successively single flowered inflorescence, carrying non-resupinate flowers
