Found in Taidong Taiwan, Sulawesi and the Philippines in forests along creeks on trees at elevations of sea level to 1300 meters as a medium to large sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with smooth, long, cane-like stems carrying pointed, grass-like, close set, distichous leaves in the upper half that blooms in the spring and fall on a 2 flowered inflorescence arising opposite the leaves.
