Common Name The Mountain Dendrobium

Flower Size 1.4" [3.5 cm]

Endemic to Java low on tree trunks as a large sized, cool growing epiphyte or lithophyte at elevations of 1400 to 2000 meters with stems carrying many, gradually smaller apically, green above and red below leaves that blooms in the spring on a short, few [3 to 6] flowered inflorescence arising from along the apical half of old leafless canes.

Greatly reduce water and fertilzer for 2 to 3 months in the winter and resume only after new growth emerges in the spring.
