Common Name or Meaning The Mucronate Dendrobium [refers to the apex of the sepals]

Found in Thailand at elevations around 1600 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovate, narrowing apically, glossy green pseudobulbs carrying 3, apical, strongly purple tinted, ovate-lanceolate, unequally apically bilobed, narrowing basally into the clasping base leaves that blooms in the later spring on a 1.6 to 2" [4 to 5 cm] long, purple, laxly 8 to 10 flowered inflorescence arising at or near the apex of the stem and carry flowers that do not open well.
