Common Name or Meaning The Very Long Dendrobium

Found in the New Guinea on trees in montane forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a giant sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an elongate, flexuous, glabrous stem carrying many dense, narrowly lanceoalte-ligulate, obtuse, and unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms innthe winter on a subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence carrying fleshy flowers.

Agrees in general shape with Schlechter but differs greatly in the described colors which are cream colored with a yellowish lip with an orange red central band and brownish lateral lobes. The Type drawing is absolutely correct.
