Common Name The Purple Lipped Dendrobium - In China Dan Ting Cao Shi Hu
Flower Size .4 to .6" [1 to 1.5 cm]
Found in the western Himalayas, Chinese Himalayas, Assam, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Myanamar, Thailand and Vietnam on trees in forests grazed by cattle at elevations of 1850 to 2350 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with attenuate, cylindric-conical, slender yellowish pseudobulbs enveloped by imbricating, membraneous, striate sheaths and carrying 3 to 4, linear-oblong to obliquely emarginate, sessile, jointed leaves that blooms in the spring on a termianl, slender, solitary, pendant, slightly frractiflex, glabrous, 6 to 10 flowered inflorescence with glabrous basal sheaths and
