Found in Assam, Myanmar and Thailand in montane forests at elevations of 550 to 1140 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with swollen stems enveloped by deciduous leaf sheaths and carrying 6, deciduous, lanceolate leaves that blooms in the winter on more than 1 to 2, 2 to 4" [5 to 10 cm] long, to 20 densely flowered inflorescence arising from the nodes near the apex of the stem
