Found in Sulawesi and the Moluccas in secondary forests on trres along roadsides and at forest edges at elevations of 280 to 900 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with strongly branching flattened stems carrying many, laterally flattened, 2 rowed, thick leaves that blooms in the fall
