Common Name Rant's Dendrobium [Dutch Plant collector in Indonesia 1900's]

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Sulawesi in montane forests at elevations around 1000 to 1600 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with deciduous, elongate, slender, flexuous, branching stems which become rigid and yellow when dry and carrying many, linear, very unequally bilobed apically, deciduous leaves that blooms in the fall on a very short, axillary, 1 to 8 flowered inflorescence arising on leafless canes.
