Found in Java and Sumatra at elevations of 200 to 1000 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with erect in youth becoming pendulous with age stems which a leafy below and leafless above, and carrying ovate, acute, imbricate, leaves that blooms in the fall, winter and early spring on young stems from the apice and on older plants from along the leafless apical portion witha single flowered, short inflorescence. Often the flower does not have all the petals and sepals reflexed as in the photo but the long white bilobed lip distinguishes it.
