Found in the Solomon and Santa Cruz Islands at elevations of 600 to 900 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm growing epiphyte with clustered, clavate, 4 angled, yellow to purple stems carrying 2 to 4, apical, suberect, coriaceous, lanceolate, acute leaves that blooms in the winter on an apical, 8" [20 cm] long, 4 to 8 flowered inflorescence
