Found in Java and Sumatra at elevations of 700 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with very compressed, not branched stems carrying triangulr, often suffused with violet in youth, lower margin rounded leaves that blooms in the spring on a very short, single flowered inflorescence arising from the upper nodes of the stem neaqr the apex.

CAUTION According to Comber in Orchids of Sumatra; his photo of D sagittatum in Orchids of Java was not correct and it matches this one very well so please use with caution.
