Found in the Bismark Archipelago in beach and coastal forests at elevations of sealevel to 60 meters as a giant sized, hot growing epiphyte with close set, erect to lateral, terete, unbranched stems completely enveloped by leaf sheaths carrying many erect, narrowly lanceolate-ligulate, almost rounded basally, acute, shiny leaves that blooms all year on a lateral from the stem, subsessile, 2 flowered inflorescence arising through a short, oblong, obtuse spathe.
