Common Name The Rough Leafed Dendrobium

Flower Size .7" [1.8 cm]

Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra in lower montane forests at elevations of 1300 to 1600 meters as a small to medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with clustered, bsaally shortly slender, swelling to almost round medially and then thinning out again towards the very elongate apex cane carrying 4 to 8, widely spaced, slender, terete, channeled leaves that blooms on a very short, single flowered inflroescence arising from the middle to the apex of the cane and have flowers that are non-resupinate, short-lived and do not open well.

CAUTION There are a few descrepancies in this determination so I await more information. The first photo seems to be the most correct and correlates to photos within other references. The third and fourth photo has a lip with no eroseness and is not bilobed which the Drawing by Seidenfaden does show. Also although Seidenfaden shows a callosity on the midlobe it is not as prominent and the margin is dentate instead of entire.

Synonyms Aporum setifolium (Ridl.) Rauschert 1983; Ceraia setifolia (Ridl.) M.A.Clem. 2003
