Common Name The Sidikalang Dendrobium [A town in Sumatra]

Found in Sumatra in fairly open situations at elevations of 1280 to 1600 meters as a miniature to small sized, cool growing epiphyte with slender, very narrowly cylindric below, elongate-clavate above, often curved, usually slightly flexuous stems carrying papery, not twisted at the base, green, erect-spreading, narrow-ovate to linear-ovate, acute, margins entire leaves that blooms in the summer and fall on a 1.2" [3 cm] long, purple flushed, not flexuous but sometimes slightly wavy, densely 4 to 6 flowered inflorescence arising from the apical nodes of leafless stems with minute basal bracts.
