Found in Sulawesi on large solitary trees at elevations around 650 to 1300 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with clustered, densely leafy stems carrying many, blue green to brownish purple-green more or less ovate-oblong, close set, glaucous and leathery leaves that blooms in the winter on a short, arising opposite the leaves, 2 flowered inflorescence and carrying flowers with a fetid odor
